Guided Walk in Legind Bjerge
took place · 19 Aug 2026
Description was written before the event
Legind Bjerge was planted starting in 1893 with the aim of creating a recreational forest for the public to enjoy outdoor experiences. The forest terrain is very hilly with many cultural traces, including around 50 burial mounds.
The area was protected in 1975, and parts of the heather-covered hills are grazed today to preserve the heather landscape. It is an area rich in nature experiences, and Tonny Nedergaard will lead the walk as guide.
Tonny Nedergaard is chairman of Plantningsselskabet Legind Bjerge, which owns the area you will visit.
