Musical Lecture on H. C. Andersen

Inger Nygaard Kaad from Randers Library tells the story of the poor boy from Odense who became an internationally recognized author through talent and determination. The lecture follows H. C. Andersen (1805-1875) from birth to death, covering both his famous fairy tales and his other works: novels, poems, plays, and travel books.

Library musician Peter Elmelund accompanies on guitar and leads group singing with texts by H. C. Andersen - both well-known songs, lesser-known pieces, and a newly composed melody for one of Andersen's lesser-known poems.
