Erik B. Jørgensen: Slædepatruljen Sirius

Erik B. Jørgensen shares stories with humour and candid honesty about his time with Slædepatruljen Sirius - the long sledge journeys, the cold, the wildlife, and being two men alone on patrol for up to four months at a time, 26 months in Greenland without returning home.

The lecture draws on a year with Sirius and offers insights into everything from the strain and effort of the sledge trips to working with Greenlandic sled dogs and life without contact with the outside world. He also discusses the recruitment process itself: what is required, who applies, and how one is trained.

The event takes place in Bibliotekssalen at Glostrup Bibliotek and is arranged in collaboration with AOF Region Hovedstaden.
