Water calls for our attention. In the world. In our consciousness. As a resource. As a threat. For a long time, water has literally filled the view outside the windows of Kulturstedet Lindegaarden, while a new basin for local rainwater drainage - also called Bondebyens Gadekær - has taken shape on Peter Lunds Vej in Kgs. Lyngby.

The artist group APORIA, consisting of six participants, has taken up the challenge: to interpret water and to give the interpretation an edge. The participating artists are Eva Hvelplund, Karen Villia Jensen, Laura Bach Skou, Nina Schlemm, Pia Metz Mørch and Vibeke Jensen.

The artist group APORIA uses media such as painting, graphics, photocollage, drawing and video clips, materializing their individual relationship to the exhibition's theme.

Water is much more than that, and at Kulturstedet Lindegaarden we look forward to exploring this element on several levels.

Opening reception Friday 21 August, 3-5 PM. We celebrate the season opening with a festive opening reception, where the Friends of Kulturstedet Lindegaarden host games with soap bubbles, water art and water games in the courtyard - plus a glass of sparkling wine. Free entry.

Lecture on Water in Church Art Wednesday 26 August, 7-9 PM. In connection with the exhibition, a lecture is held on the symbolism of water in church art by author, theologian and art historian Anne-Mette Gravgaard. Welcome to the lecture at Kulturstedet Lindegaarden Wednesday 26 August, 7-9 PM.

The exhibition can be experienced on Wednesdays from 1-4 PM at Kulturstedet Lindegaarden. Free entry. Visits outside opening hours can be arranged by calling +45 29 64 92 21.
