"The weather is fine as long as you can stand it," said Storm P, and Victor Borge believed that "a smile is the shortest distance between people." Drawing on such quotes, Lillian Hjort-West takes the audience on a humorous tour through the works and personalities of Halfdan Rasmussen, Victor Borge, Storm P, and Johannes Møllehave - figures who have shaped our humorous world.

Lillian Hjort-West has given lectures at folk high schools and associations across Denmark for many years. She was born and raised on a farm in Rutsker on Bornholm and trained as a teacher at Tønder Seminarium. Since 1977 she has worked in the folk high school world - first at Højskolen Rude Strand, and from 1983 to 2017 at Bornholms Højskole, where she spent the last ten years as part of the leadership team with Axel Lasthein-Madsen.
