Theme: Life with Late-Diagnosed Autism

This theme evening focuses on what it is like to live with autism that is first discovered in adulthood. Marie-Louise Laursen, ambassador for EN AF OS, shares her story of growing up, pursuing education, and starting a family without knowing about her autism - and the consequences it has had for her life choices, understanding of her condition, and self-image. She also discusses how she received her diagnosis and what it has meant for her.

Special education consultant Toke V. Eitzen from the Social Services Department, Region Midt, will review the symptoms that can be seen in people with autism. The presentation is held jointly by Toke V. Eitzen and Marie-Louise Laursen.
