The Musical Andersen - A Musical Lecture on H.C. Andersen

Inger Nygaard Kaad from Randers Library tells the story of H.C. Andersen's life (1805-1875) - from the poor boy in Odense to internationally recognized author. The lecture covers his entire body of work: fairy tales, novels, poems, plays, and travel books.

Library musician Peter Elmelund accompanies on guitar and leads group singing with texts by H.C. Andersen - both well-known and lesser-known songs, as well as a newly composed melody for one of Andersen's lesser-known poems.
