Description was written before the event

Kristian Lilholt and his band perform on Thursday, 24 September 2026 at 19:30 at Elværket Åbyhøj. The concert celebrates the musician's 70th birthday, with Lilholt taking the stage alongside his band. Having recently moved to Åbyhøj, he brings the performance to the local culture and community centre, housed in the former power plant built in 1913. The venue retains the original red brick walls and high ceilings from its industrial past. This is one of three Danish tour dates. Tickets cost 230 or 260 kroner.

About the venue: Elværket Åbyhøj

Elværket is a community cultural centre in Åbyhøj, housed in the former local power station built in 1913 and extended in 1927, which supplied electricity to the area until 1965. After years of work by local volunteers, it reopened in 2016 with the original red brick walls and high ceilings intact. The main hall holds up to 150 guests and hosts concerts, lectures, exhibitions and communal dinners. The venue is run entirely by volunteers and has a particularly strong music programme.
