About the venue: Taastrup Teater & Musikhus

Taastrup Teater & Musikhus is a municipal theatre and music venue on Kjeld Abells Plads in Taastrup. It was founded in 1975 as Høje-Taastrup Teater and gained regional theatre status in 1982. The building is a converted gymnasium from the former Selsmoseskolen. In 2016 it took its current name to reflect a broader programme that pairs concerts and popular music with theatre.

About: Mekdes

Since winning the P3 Guld Talent prize in 2021, Kolding-based artist Mekdes has built a reputation as one of Danish soul and R&B's most self-sufficient voices - writing, producing, and releasing everything independently. The triple-platinum hit "Føles Godt" and his 2026 album "The Boy I Am" have made him one of the most recognisable names on the Danish music scene.
