Folkeuniversitetet: Masterpieces of Music

A lecture series examining five musical masterworks - one from each of the genres sacred music, orchestral music, symphonic poem, film music, and opera. Throughout the course, musical concepts, instruments, and music history are introduced, placing the works in a broader context. Participants gain access to the music via the internet and are expected to listen to the relevant work before each session.

The lecturer is Leif V. S. Balthzersen, MA in musicology and former music director of Aarhus Symphony Orchestra and South Jutland Symphony Orchestra.

All sessions are held on Fridays from 10:30 to 12:15 in the Great Hall at Kolding Library:
