Read-Aloud and Crafts for Adults
Kolding Bibliotek, Kolding · Free
A librarian reads aloud from a carefully selected text - funny, moving, or thrilling - while participants work on a creative project. The library provides materials; you might fold figures from discarded books, make bookmarks, or cut out decorations. You take your finished creation home with you.
You're also welcome to bring your own knitting, crochet, drawing, or embroidery project. If you prefer to simply listen without keeping your hands busy, you're naturally welcome too.
Research shows that creative handicraft - so-called "crafting" - has a positive effect on wellbeing and health. If you'd like to learn more, you can read Anne Kirketerp's book Craft Psychology: Health-Promoting Effects of Handicraft and Craftsmanship.
