Josefine Opsahl and NOVO Quartet perform on Thursday, 24 September 2026 at 19:30 at Kulturhuset No1 in Tølløse. The concert explores the string quartet format through contemporary Danish composition and is one of two Danish dates for Opsahl. Kulturhuset No1 serves as Tølløse's cultural and community centre, run by the association Fællesskab Tølløse. The venue was modernized in 2018 following a design by architect Nicolas Munkø and is located at Tølløsevej 1. The meeting between the composer and the award-winning NOVO Quartet focuses on contemporary music and the possibilities of the string quartet.

About the venue: Kulturhuset No1

Kulturhuset No1 is Tølløse's community and cultural centre, run by the association Fællesskab Tølløse. The building was renovated in the summer of 2018 to a design by architect Nicolas Munkø. Every Thursday the café opens its doors, with communal dining and regular cultural events - music, theatre, talks and art exhibitions. The venue is also available for hire for private parties, association meetings and corporate events.

Since forming in Copenhagen in 2018, NOVO Quartet has collected first prizes in Geneva, Heidelberg and Trondheim, and now holds BBC New Generation Artist status. Their debut record 'TRACK 1' on the Aparté label drew top marks from Politiken and Gramophone alike.
