Kim Fupz Aakeson: 'The Shadow Before Me'

A 52-year-old man leaves prison after 12 years, convicted of killing his girlfriend. A recovering alcoholic now free, he sets out on the Camino in Spain. Along the way he meets the cancer-stricken Henning, his wife Ingrid, and Kisser. The novel 'The Shadow Before Me' explores whether one can leave such a past behind, and whether forgiveness is possible for what cannot be forgiven.
