About the venue: Train

TRAIN opened in April 1998, founded by Chris Anker-Petersen with the aim of bringing rock back to Aarhus. Since 2000 it has held the status of regional venue, designated by Aarhus Municipality and the Danish Arts Council - most recently for 2025-2028. The programme ranges from rock, pop, metal and electronic music to jazz, folk and world, and the multi-level hall with balcony holds up to 1,000 for concerts. In 2026, after more than 25 years in Toldbodgade, TRAIN moves to new and larger premises at Sydhavnen.

Since forming in 2013, the Copenhagen quartet Kalaha have built a sound that pulls from West African funk, Turkish psych-rock and electronic jazz. With seven albums to their name - most recently 'Guirca' in 2025 - and accolades including the Danish Music Award, they are a fixture on both the Danish and international festival circuit.
