Author Johanne Bille presents her new concert format 'Munk, Bille og Ask' at Orange Foredragssal in Roskilde on Wednesday 26 August 2026 at 19:30. The format weaves literature and music together, drawing from her novels. Orange Foredragssal is located in the Musicon district, housed in a former concrete production hall painted orange as a reference to Roskilde Festival's distinctive "orange feeling". This is one of two Danish dates on the tour, where Johanne Bille introduces her new artistic approach combining spoken word with live music.

About the venue: Orange Foredragssal

Orange Foredragssal is the public heart of Roskilde Festival Højskole, a folk high school that opened in 2019 in the Musicon district. The hall is housed in a former concrete factory and painted orange in direct reference to the festival's "orange feeling". It hosts the weekly Orange Onsdage series - talks, debates, concerts and workshops, always opened with communal singing - and doubles as a cinema, theatre and concert space. All events are open to the public.

Born in Frederiksberg, Johanne Bille has built a distinctive place in Danish fiction since her 2015 debut, with novels centred on women's identity and the power dynamics of love. Her Boghandel Blåregn romance series, spanning six volumes between 2024 and 2026, has now been licensed for international publication in English, French and Dutch.
