The Witch Collage Workshop

This collage workshop uses materials like old books, cardboard with witch motifs, glitter, varnish and sparkles as a starting point. If you want to go further, you can work with paint or ink - freely or with stencils for support. Help is available throughout.

The age limit is 8 years, and adults are just as welcome as children. A ticket is required for everyone who makes a collage themselves; if an adult only helps their child, a ticket is only purchased for the child.

The workshop takes place in Folkelab and is part of Heksedage - a series of October events that explore the witch figure from multiple angles: as a primal force, persecuted, wisdom-bearer, nature expert and figure of resistance.

Heksedage is based on Køge Huskors, one of the country's most extensive witch trials, which took place in Køge 400 years ago with around fifteen women as victims. The event is organized by KøgeBibliotekerne, Teaterbygningen and Køge Arkiverne in collaboration with Køge Museum, Ungekulturhuset Tappen, Køge Kunstforening and other cultural actors in Køge Municipality.
