Make a Bewitched Lantern

Create your own lantern decorated with witches, bats, and cats, and embellish it with glitter, ribbons, "diamonds", and more. When you place it in the dark, it projects the motif onto the wall - perhaps a black cat to set the mood in your room.

Everyone from age 5 can participate, and you're welcome to bring a family member or friend. The event takes place in Folkelab on the ground floor of Køge Library.

Animals with dark powers: In ancient times, there was much superstition about animals, especially black cats and bats. Both are nocturnal hunters, and they hiss if you get too close. People believed they could be witch's familiars - which probably gave rise to some fear.
