March Against Loneliness 2026

March Against Loneliness 2026 is a two-day walking initiative in Sønderborg Municipality focused on combating loneliness. Registration must be completed by Sunday, August 23 with volunteer coordinator Lone Juhl Petersen: ljpe@sonderborg.dk or tel. +45 27 90 66 90.

Sunday, August 30 - Fynshav to Sønderborg Town Hall (approx. 19 km)

At 10:50 water and safety vests are distributed at Frivillighedens Hus, Perlegade 50. At 11:00 the bus departs from the car park behind the building for Fynshav, where the march begins at 12:00 following a welcome from the Health, Youth and Prevention Committee at 11:50. The route goes via Færgevej, left onto Gammelgård, across Mjang to Kirke Hørup and then along Søndre Landevej towards Sønderborg. Grilled sausages and bread are served around 13:45 and coffee and cake around 15:15. Expected arrival at Sønderborg Town Hall is 17:50, and at 18:00 the day concludes with a group photo in front of the town hall.

Monday, August 31 - Sønderborg Town Hall to the municipal boundary towards Aabenraa (approx. 16 km)

At 07:30 water, fruit and safety vests are distributed at Town Hall Square, and at 07:35 morning coffee is served in front of the town hall. The march departs at 08:00 following a welcome from the committee. The route goes over Chr. d. X's Bridge, along Aabenraavej, through the pedestrian tunnel and continues on the cycle path towards Ullerup, to Blans and across Blansskov to the municipal boundary at Blansvej. Grilled sausages with bread are served around 10:45, coffee and cake around 12:45, and the bus returns to Sønderborg around 13:00.

The first 100 registered participants on each day receive free bus transport, loan of a safety vest and refreshments along the way. All times are approximate, and refreshments are available to all registered participants regardless of pace. Remember to indicate during registration whether you require bus transport.
