Royal Arena is Denmark's largest indoor multi-purpose arena, situated in the Ørestad South district of Copenhagen. It opened in February 2017 to a design by Danish architecture firm 3XN, drawing on Scandinavian design principles. The arena holds up to 17,000 guests for concerts and cultural events, and 12,500 for sporting events. Its programme ranges from international pop concerts and handball matches to comedy shows and family events.
