Stationsbyen Auning
On August 24, 2025, it is exactly 150 years since a flag-decorated train rolled into Auning Station, marking the opening of the railway line between Randers and Grenå. Auning Bymuseum, Kulturperronen, and Paragraf Advokaterne - current owners of the old station building - celebrate the jubilee with three events.
Monday, August 24, 10:00-15:00, there is an open house at the law office in the old station building, where you can visit the former post office, the old waiting room, and the ticket window. The same day, an exhibition about the railway's history opens at Kulturperronen, and for most of the week the station building will be "wrapped" in a 150-meter-long flag banner.
Tuesday, August 25, 19:00-21:30, Jens-Ole Johnsen gives a lecture at Kulturperronen, Auning Bibliotek, about how the railway came to Auning and the history of its operation and closure. Free coffee and pastries are served during the break.
Everyone is welcome to all events.
