Batida presents the performance "The Journey to Grandmother" at Tingbjerg Library\Cultural Centre on Thursday 24 and Friday 25 September - both days with performances at 09:15 and 10:30.

Laila has only seen her grandmother in a small photograph, as she lives far away in a completely different country. Now Laila and her father set off for the first time - by bus, train, ship and hot air balloon - and the journey ends in Iran, where they meet a grandmother in her everyday clothes.

The performance is for children aged 3-8 years and lasts 45 minutes. Admission is free, but registration is required - send an email to Batida at info@batida.dk.

Tingbjerg Bibliotek\Kulturhus is a municipal library and cultural centre in the Tingbjerg-Husum district of Copenhagen, designed by COBE architects and opened in October 2018. The four-storey building brings together a public and school library, a concert and theatre hall, a creative workshop, meeting rooms and a café. It was built in partnership between the City of Copenhagen and the housing associations fsb and SAB, and also serves as the school library for Tingbjerg Skole.
