Night in Nature at Islands Brygge, September 5, 7 PM - 9:30 PM. Free entry.

The evening begins with singing and music from Vesterbro Youth Centre. Afterwards, an underwater drone is lowered into the harbour so you can together see what lives beneath the surface.

When darkness falls, the group heads out into Harbour Park and along the Brygge with bat detectors - one per family - to listen for the bats' high-frequency calls and discover which species are flying around in the dark.

The event is part of Night in Nature and is arranged in collaboration with the Danish Nature Conservation Association and the Outdoor Council.

About the venue: Islands Brygge Bibliotek

Islands Brygge Bibliotek on Njalsgade is a small public library that has occupied the same spot in the old part of the Islands Brygge neighbourhood since 1966. The single-room space houses both adult and children's sections, with shelves stocked with new titles. Beyond lending, the library runs reading clubs, author events, book cafés and regular children's activities such as storytelling and theatre. Self-service access is available every day 08:00-20:00; a health card is required outside staffed hours.
