DUSCH is a newly formed jazz group consisting of four young musicians who have found each other across the Danish music scene. The band celebrates the release of their debut album "Er du der?" in 2027 with a live concert at Kulturhuset Islands Brygge.
Their music ranges from tight beats to free improvisation. The press has taken notice: "A shower of modern, Nordic jazz tones that were easy to love and enjoy in full measure. Performing with such confidence at their barely third concert as a band says something about it not being empty words to call DUSCH a young all-star band." (Mads Kornum, All that). Jazznyt's Niels Overgård wrote: "It is melodic, beautiful and not just a crowd-pleaser. Two numbers that grow on me every time I hear them."
Line-up: Buster Isitt (guitar), Lasse Damsgaard (alto sax), Antonio Dayyani (drums), Anja Kulyova (electric bass).
Buster Isitt was recently nominated for a DMA Jazz for his pop/jazz solo project and is a regular guitarist in David Miilmann Group. Anja Kulyova is bassist in the funk/reggae/hi-life band Total Hip Replacement and has also toured with Stine Bramsen and DAYYANI, among others. Lasse Damsgaard has performed in numerous bands including BARYL, Total Hip Replacement, Nordlys, The Three Body Problem and MASS, with whom he was previously nominated for a DMA Jazz. Antonio Dayyani is active as a composer and bandleader for his alternative jazz sextet and has established himself in Danish jazz through numerous radio and live performances.
