Sea People's Meeting in Solrød
took place · 22 Aug 2026
Description was written before the event
Biologist Anders Kofoed takes you from the world's oceans to the Øresund strait and into the life of the sea, while meteorologist and climate expert Peter Tanev explains how weather and climate affect the ocean - from past storm surges in Køge Bay to the changes we see today.
On the beach, you can follow underwater drone footage and see what lies on the seabed. Children can put on waders and explore the water's edge with Den Rullende Naturskole, equipped with fishing nets and water viewers in search of shrimp, crabs and other small sea creatures.
The event is free, and no registration is required.
