Bäckström/Friman/Jensen

Bäckström/Friman/Jensen is a trio featuring Finnish musicians Lassi Friman (guitar) and Jonathan Bäckström (double bass) alongside Danish drummer Jens Emil Jensen. All three have made their mark on their respective jazz scenes at home and internationally, and the band has toured several times in Denmark and Finland.

The repertoire consists of original music from all three members, where Nordic roots meet inspiration from the American jazz tradition. The trio plays with a lively and dynamic interplay.
