Havets Folkemøde in Solrød on August 22
Havets Folkemøde is a free family day by the waterfront featuring debates and activities. This year it takes place in Solrød Strand - last year it was held in Stevns.
Biologist Anders Kofoed takes you from the world's oceans to the Øresund strait and into the life of the sea, while meteorologist and climate expert Peter Tanev explains how weather and climate affect the ocean - from historical storm surges in Køge Bay to the changes we see today. On the beach you can follow underwater drone footage and discover what lies on the seabed.
Children can put on waders and explore the waterfront with Den Rullende Naturskole, equipped with fishing nets and water viewers searching for shrimp, crabs and other small sea creatures.
Free entry, no registration required. Read more: https://solrod.dk/aktuelt/arrangementer-og-borgermoeder/havets-folkemoede-2026-i-solroed-en-folkefest-i-vandkanten-for-hele-familien
