Literary Walk: Teeming Creatures, Winged Words

Insects have found their way into both fiction and non-fiction literature, and this is the starting point for this literary walk. What draws us so deeply to grasshoppers, fritillaries, and blue-banded dragonflies - names that carry power and poetry in themselves? Perhaps because they point to a world that is disappearing.

The climate and biodiversity crisis is making the world poorer in species, while we humans are slowly beginning to see the beauty in what is near us. To preserve something, you must first know it - and on this walk we venture out onto literature's humming meadow.
