Why Song and Music Are Good for Brain Health
Biblioteket i Herning, Herning · 30 kr. · ≈ 4 €
We have always known that music affects us - and recent research has become far more precise about why and how. New findings show how tones, rhythms and harmonies are perceived by the brain, and how group singing amplifies this effect significantly.
The lecture explores music's impact on body and mind, and how we can actively use it to promote joy and brain health. Along the way, we listen to and sing examples and take a closer look at the brain's musical mechanisms.
Tickets cost 30 kroner, and there is a coffee break halfway through. The event takes place in Room ABC at Biblioteket i Herning, Østergade 8, 7400 Herning, and is arranged in collaboration with Hjernesagen.
