The Writing Café is a writing community for adults where participants work focused on their own individual projects. The Thursday workshop takes place on the 1st floor of Herning Library in the Kørner 2 room.

Beyond the Thursday workshops, the Writing Café meets every third Monday of the month for feedback and writing sessions. Throughout the year there are also writing workshops and author visits.

About the venue: Biblioteket i Herning

Biblioteket i Herning opened in August 2014 in the city centre on Østergade, designed by Kristian H. Nielsen and GPP Arkitekterne. At nearly 6,000 m², it houses five kilometres of shelving in the book section known as Dybet, two bookable meeting rooms, a MakerSpace and a café. Beyond lending, the library hosts lectures, cultural events and IT guidance, and also serves as the central library for 19 municipalities in the Central Denmark Region.
