Simone Tang
Brønshøj Kulturhus, Copenhagen · 120–200 kr. · ≈ 16–27 €
Simone Tang is a Danish singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. She debuted as a solo artist with the album Things I Remember in 2024, drawing on influences from Elizabeth Cotten, Nick Drake, Paul Simon, and Édith Piaf while forging her own path within a strong songwriting tradition.
Her forthcoming second album builds on the intimate expression of her debut: guitar and vocals at the centre, music stripped to the bone and recorded live to tape. The sound gains new nuances from piano and clarinet. Her work echoes artists like Molly Drake, Labi Siffre, Paul McCartney, and Bob Dylan. The first singles arrive in autumn 2026.
A tour in 2025 and 2026 has taken her through Tinderbox Festival, Hotel Cecil, Nær Festival, Aarhus Musikhus, Folk Alliance International, SXSW, and Trondheim Calling. This concert at BRØK takes place as she stands on the threshold of her new album. Doors open at 19:30, and the concert is seated.
