Everyday Politics

Today's theme is the work of the Finance Committee.

Everyday Politics is a forum where citizens and local politicians meet and discuss topics from the upcoming committee agenda - those that participants find most relevant. The aim is to create space for dialogue and mutual understanding in local democracy.

The event is held 10 times in 2026, once for each committee, alternating between morning and afternoon meetings, typically on Fridays or Mondays. At least two politicians from the relevant committee participate each time. The first 30 attendees receive coffee/tea and a cake/croissant.

Everyday Politics is a further development of the Morning Politics format and was created in collaboration between the volunteer citizen group Together for the Global Goals Silkeborg and Silkeborg Libraries. The meeting takes place at the Knowledge Stage.
