Rock Tells Danish History

Over the past 50 years, Danish rock has given voice to its era - youth rebellion, consumer society, the Cold War, bikers, yuppies, alienation, and climate anxiety. Allan Østerdahl and Troels Witter have reviewed half a century of Danish songwriting and selected the songs they find most significant.

The songs are performed in new versions and accompanied by film and images that place them in historical perspective. The format is a concert lecture - a genre the two have cultivated together for ten years, performing at libraries, folk high schools, and churches across the country.

Allan Østerdahl is a guitarist, singer, songwriter, and producer with three solo albums. Troels Witter is a guitarist, singer, songwriter, and journalist who has released two albums with the project "Witters Syndrom".
