Author Lecture: Comics with Karoline Stjernfelt

Karoline Stjernfelt examines comics in all their diversity. She is a comic artist and author with a particular focus on the dramatic, the poetic, and the unfathomable in human existence.

She is best known for 'Tomorrow Will Be Better', her masterwork about Christian VII, Caroline Mathilde, and Struensee. The series has won the Ping Prize, the Claus Deleuran Prize for best Danish comic, the Ministry of Culture's Illustrator Prize, and most recently the Politiken Literature Prize 2026.

After the lecture, there will be time for questions and discussion with the audience. Those who wish to stay longer are invited to a guided group reading of 'Tomorrow Will Be Better'.

The event takes place on the Stage at Roskilde Library, which is accessible for wheelchairs, walkers, and strollers. People with hearing disabilities are welcome to bring their own assistive devices.
