Guided Group Reading: Texts from Japan and South Korea

In guided shared reading, a trained reading guide leads the session: the text is read aloud with pauses, and the group discusses what they have heard. What did the text awaken in you? Does any of it remind you of your own life? You don't need to say a word if you don't want to - it's perfectly fine just to sit and listen, and no preparation is required.

The two evenings in November are devoted to selected short stories and poems from Japan and South Korea. The texts may seem distant at first encounter, but the community is precisely the place to explore what they set in motion nonetheless.

Meet at the librarian's desk, where you will be gathered and led down to the meeting room. The event takes place on Wednesday, 4 November and Wednesday, 18 November, both times 16:30-18:00. Registration applies to both dates.
