Night in Nature at Garderhøjfortet - Monster Hunt in the Dark

On 5 September, Garderhøjfortet becomes part of Night in Nature, inviting children and adults to an evening of history, nature and mysterious stories in the darkness.

The fort's soldiers were superstitious - they carried lucky charms, hid four-leaf clovers and performed small rituals to return safely from war. In Danish folklore, nature has always been inhabited by trolls, elves and other legendary creatures, their stories passed down through generations. Now traces of a mysterious being have been found at the fort. Which creature is hiding there?

The evening offers three activities: Monster Hunt, where you solve riddles, follow clues and learn about the soldiers' superstitions and Danish folklore - along the way you'll meet four-leaf clovers, lucky coins, trolls and other creatures, and finally uncover what lurks at the fort. Lantern tours around the fort once darkness falls. Storytelling by the bonfire with old Danish folk tales - and the chance to roast marshmallows over the embers.
