Bonfire, Beavers and Fishing at Møllesøen
An evening in nature at Møllesøen with activities for both children and adults. Nature guides from the Danish Nature Agency lead the programme, which includes tasting a dish made with venison and a guided tour to spot beavers in the area.
Programme
- 17:00: Welcome and introduction to the area and the evening's programme
- 17:15-18:00: Story about the red deer in the area and joint start of a wild game stew
- 18:30: Beaver tour with nature guide - walk of approx. 3 km
- 20:30: Beaver tour with nature guide - walk of approx. 3 km
Throughout the evening there is evening fishing at the lake, where children can try to catch fish or crayfish, a whittling workshop, a bonfire competition ('burn a rope' against the clock) and the opportunity to cook food over the fire. At 22:00 the Nature Agency thanks everyone for the evening, but you are welcome to stay and experience the night in nature.
Practical information
Wear clothes appropriate for the weather and evening temperature. Bring food for grilling or cooking over the fire - there are 3 fire pits and the space is shared. The Nature Agency provides firewood, grill grates and cooking pots; you must bring everything else. There are toilets and access to drinking water on site.
