Craft Evening with Craft Psychology and Thread Weaving
Roskilde Bibliotek, Roskilde · 25 kr. · ≈ 3.3 €
Certified craft psychologist Line Beck Rasmussen presents a lecture on the health and wellbeing benefits of handicraft and handwork - including the ability to focus deeply. The evening takes place in the Hall at Roskilde Library.
A weaving sample is a small image created by wrapping yarn threads around a board. It can be used as a creative tool to experiment with how colours work together - for example, for a knitting project - but can also stand as an independent artwork, where the process is as important as the result. During the evening, both individual and group weaving samples are created, so the theories are tested in practice.
Programme:
19:00: Welcome and introduction to weaving samples
19:30-20:30: Lecture by Line Beck Rasmussen on craft psychology
20:30-21:00: Questions while finishing the weaving samples
Bring scissors and yarn scraps for the shared pool. Wine and water are available for purchase during the event.
