Final Descent Presents: NYX - Bones, Drones & Tones Workshop — Brønshøj Vandtårn, Copenhagen
Free entry

Before their concert at ALICE, the London-based electronic drone choir NYX invites you to a free, open workshop at Brønshøj Vandtårn. The workshop is conducted in English and led by NYX's musical director Sian O'Gorman and singer Rhianna Compton.

Titled Bones, Drones & Tones, the workshop draws on NYX's artistic practice: embodied voice work, deep listening, and collective participation. Participants are guided through simple exercises in breathing, listening, and shared sound - and the water tower's natural 15-second reverberation is used actively, so even small sounds spread and fill the space. The workshop is open to all ages, whether you are an experienced singer or have never sung before.

NYX works at the intersection of choral music, electronic music, and performance, exploring connections between body, architecture, and nature through vocal soundscapes and electronics. The choir has collaborated with Gazelle Twin on the album Deep England, contributed to the Diablo IV soundtrack, and completed projects with the Victoria and Albert Museum, National Theatre Studio, and Institute of Contemporary Arts (ICA).

NYX performs at ALICE on Friday, 11 September.
