Lytteklubben Jazz: Crossover

Lytteklubben Jazz has spent the last four years placing jazz in both historical and geographical context. This time the theme is crossover - evenings where jazz meets other genres, but where the core remains intact: improvisation, rhythmic flexibility, and the complex harmonies that characterize the jazz tradition.

On the programme are David Bowie's final album Blackstar, recorded with prominent jazz musicians from New York, and rapper Kendrick Lamar's collaboration with the West Coast Get Down collective from LA.

The evening's hosts are Nikolaj Kuno, who has participated in several previous listening clubs, and Andres Wulff Vissing Christensen. No musical background is required - it's about listening and discussing the music together.

Lytteklubben meets almost always on the first Wednesday of the month in the room Scenen. The library is accessible with wheelchairs, walkers, and strollers, and people with hearing impairments are welcome to bring their own assistive devices.
