Morning Singing at Roskilde Library — Roskilde Bibliotek, Roskilde

Free entry

Roskilde Library, Roskilde Synger, and volunteer singers host a morning singing session on the first Tuesday of each month in the hall. Songs from the Højskolesangbogen (a popular Danish songbook) are sung, and the hosts rotate. Songbooks are provided, and admission is free.

Doors open at 8:00 am, and singing begins at 8:30 am. From 9:00 am, coffee and pastries are sold in the library café.

The venue is accessible for wheelchairs, walkers, and prams. Hearing-impaired visitors are welcome to bring their own assistive devices. If you would like to volunteer as a host, contact music librarian Mads Roth at madslbr@roskilde.dk

About the venue: Roskilde Bibliotek

Roskilde Bibliotek on Dronning Margrethes Vej serves as the central library for Region Sjælland and Bornholm and is the main branch in a network of six libraries across the municipality. Beyond books, e-books and films, it has a hall seating up to 150 that associations can borrow free of charge for concerts and events. The programme ranges from reading clubs and author evenings to workshops, music and children's theatre, and the ground floor houses the Roskilde Local History Archive.
