Family Tour at Tadre Mølle - Superstition and Magical Creatures in Mill Life

During the autumn holidays, Tadre Mølle offers a family tour exploring superstition and the magical creatures that, according to folklore, inhabited streams, meadows and thickets. Life at the mill was closely tied to nature's whims - residents respected these creatures because they could bring everything from illness and livestock disease to butter luck and fishing luck.

The tour walks around the mill farm, where stories are told about the creatures the millers believed in. Along the way, we recreate some of the rituals used to stay on good terms with them, and hear about autumn tasks and the customs and rituals that were part of everyday life in the countryside long ago.

The tour is part of the harvest festival at Tadre Mølle. After the tour, you can participate in today's workshops in the café.
