Taktløs Strygertour takes the stage at Brønshøj Vandtårn in Copenhagen on Friday, 30 October 2026 at 20:00. Four artists from the Taktløs collective perform their songs arranged for a classical string quartet - two cellos, a viola and a violin. The protected functionalist water tower, built in 1928, serves as the concert venue, its distinctive acoustics integral to the performance. Each artist plays four pieces, newly arranged for the ensemble. Admission is 100 kr.

About the venue: Brønshøj Vandtårn

Brønshøj Vandtårn is a listed functionalist water tower from 1928, designed by architect Ib Lunding in reinforced concrete and standing 34 metres tall. It supplied Copenhagen with water until 1999 and has since been converted into a cultural venue. Inside, the ceiling soars more than 20 metres overhead, giving the space a striking reverberation that shapes everything from black metal and poetry to sound art and exhibitions. The tower is run by the cultural centre Pilegården and has no fixed opening hours - the programme determines when the doors are open.
