Taktløs Strygertour: Slalum, PARSUM, Aquire and Hvælving

Taktløs Strygertour presents four artists from the Taktløs music collective on stage at Brønshøj Vandtårn - but without their usual bands. Instead, they perform with a classical string quartet consisting of two cellos, a viola, and a violin, and the water tower's distinctive acoustics are part of the experience.

Each artist plays four songs, rearranged for the string quartet by composers Lars Emil Hedegaard Mortensen (organist and composer based in Midtfyn) and award-winning Simon Buhl, who has previously worked with artists including Malte Ebert and Who Killed Bambi. The concert is divided into two 45-minute sets, and doors open half an hour before the start.

Note: The water tower is unheated - remember to bring warm clothing.

The four artists on the programme:

Slalum moves from 1990s MPC-inspired hip-hop to electronic and industrial beats, with playful lyrics, sophisticated rhymes, and a hard-hitting vocal delivery.

PARSUM writes Danish-language songs in an intimate and melancholic indie universe. Ludwig Mogensen Parsum sets words to love and anxiety with a strong vocal and a present expression.

Aquire blends colourful vocal harmonies, skewed grooves, and electronic soundscapes. Singer and composer Lea Foxman works in the space between pop, neosoul, trip-hop, and alternative rock.

Hvælving is created by organist Lars Emil Hedegaard Mortensen and church singer Laurits Dørr Rasmussen, who unite church music traditions with a contemporary sound universe of both grand sounds and quiet moments.

The Taktløs music collective is an independent booking and management company founded in 2024 by Gustav Wolf Iversen, Frida Luna Roswall Mattsson, and Lars Emil Hedegaard Mortensen with a focus on artistic freedom and experimental music.
