Aquire is a young Copenhagen-based band fronted by singer Lea Foxman, who had previously made a name for herself on the Danish jazz scene, including appearances at the Copenhagen Jazz Festival. The band's sound moves between pop, neo-soul, trip-hop and rock, built on layered choral harmonies, pulsing grooves and electronic textures within a hybrid acoustic/electronic setup. Although the lineup itself is new, Foxman had been shaping the music for several years before the band found its current form.
