Taboo Thursday: "Merry Christmas"... or?

Christmas is often portrayed as the coziest time of year - filled with presence, traditions and togetherness. But for many, reality looks different: loss, loneliness, divorce, conflict, illness or financial worries. Or expectations that are hard to live up to.

This evening we focus on the many stories about Christmas - both those we share openly and those we rarely talk about. Why does it feel wrong to say out loud that you're not looking forward to Christmas? Why is it met with surprise if you choose to stay away from family or enjoy your own company on Christmas Eve?
