Exhibition: Brønshøjgruppen

Brønshøjgruppen exhibits at BRØK - in the café and on the staircase landings on the 2nd floor. Three of the group's permanent members are represented: Arne Simonsen, Ida Theodora Wolf Berendsen, and Mogens Elgaard.

Arne Simonsen paints landscapes on plywood, where the wood's grain and knots remain visible and become part of the motif itself. Ida Theodora Wolf Berendsen is trained as an art teacher and holds a cand.pæd. in art; from her studio in Brønshøj she works with a blend of graphics, drawing, and painting - a method she calls "Monotypiri". Mogens Elgaard works photographically, seeking geometric forms and colour harmonies in the mundane and overlooked.

The exhibition runs from 4 September to 4 November 2026. On Friday, 4 September at 15:00, there is an opportunity to meet all three artists at their works.
