Bowie and Beers — Hovedbiblioteket, Viborg

Local Bowie enthusiast Peter Møller Pedersen presents a lecture on David Bowie's career - from glam rock and the Berlin period to the classics and the artistic vision that continues to shape music history.

Bowie's own words frame the evening: "Tomorrow belongs to those who can hear it coming." It was precisely his ability to look ahead that keeps him relevant today.

During the event, soft drinks and beer from the local brewery Ølluminati are available for purchase.

About the venue: Hovedbiblioteket

Viborg's main library serves as the central library for Viborg Municipality and heads a network of 20 branch libraries. The building, completed in 1989-1991, was designed by architect Thomas Meedom-Bæch and features artwork by Professor Stig Brøgger. Alongside its book and children's collections, it houses a Makerspace with 3D printers, a laser cutter and VR equipment, an events hall called Skakbrættet, and several meeting rooms. Self-service access is available from 07:00 to 22:00 every day.
