Lecture with Maren Uthaug
1. Hovedbiblioteket, Randers · 160 kr. · ≈ 21 €
Maren Uthaug on her new novel '1%': Tuesday 9 February 2027, 17:00–19:00, 1. Hovedbiblioteket, Randers. Tickets cost 160 kr.
On September 24, 1% is released - the final book in Maren Uthaug's speculative trilogy, which also includes the bestsellers 11% and 88%. For this occasion, she is touring the country in 2027 and discussing the ideas behind the percentage trilogy: a matriarchal society where free-roaming men have been eliminated, female orgasms are considered mental hygiene, and everything associated with men is uncanny and repulsive.
Uthaug received the Golden Laurels for 11% and won the title Novel of the Year at the Mofibo Awards two years in a row - for 11% and 88% respectively. The books have brought her both hateful messages in her inbox and long signing queues. Information wrote about 11%: "Literature doesn't get much wilder."
