Jon Lipscomb: guitar, granular synthesizer, sampling, tape recorder, electronics

Jon Lipscomb and Gintė Preisaitė work with granular synthesis, sampling, electric guitar, prepared piano and small tape loops to explore the plasticity of sound. Free structures, extended playing techniques, rhythmic cells and improvisation drive a sound that moves between consonance and dissonance - between paradise and oblivion. Spontaneity manifests in short bursts and floating movements that eventually land in textured noise landscapes.

Gintė Preisaitė is a Lithuanian artist based in Copenhagen who composes and improvises on piano and electronics. Through timbral colours, textures, fragmented melodies and percussive figures, she explores the delicate spaces of transcendence and transformation that emerge in the meeting between acoustic instruments and electronic processing. She moves between ambient, drone and experimental songwriting, circling themes of escapism and memory. Her critically acclaimed debut album Instruments of Forgetting and the Singing Bone has attracted international attention. Malmö-based guitarist Jon Lipscomb conjures dissonant extremes with raw momentum - the guitar becomes a platform for atonal whirls and microscopic polyrhythmic jabs, which The Wire magazine describes as "challenging music ... that you shouldn't listen to when you're in a vulnerable state of mind".
