Lecture with Anne Villemoes - Health Week

Do you actually eat cocktail sausages? Using a tin as a starting point, Anne Villemoes takes us on a journey through the Danish landscape - from east to west and across both meeting tables and dinner tables. The lecture explores our habits, communities and differences: how we today rarely meet anyone who sees the world from a different perspective, and what that does to our ability to handle disagreement.

Villemoes uses humour as a fork to skewer our image of ourselves as open-minded people - and to show that even the most broad-minded live in an isolated echo chamber. The point is that community life and the shared spaces we inherit from one another may be where we discover common interests across different views - first in jest, but nonetheless.

Anne Villemoes has worked with communication and change for 30 years: journalist, spin doctor, press officer and communications director at Danish Crown for a decade.

The event is free and part of Health Week in Thisted Municipality.
