The Russians Are Coming - A Lecture by Tom Buk-Swienty

In the lecture "The Russians Are Coming", Tom Buk-Swienty draws on the final chaotic months of World War II. Four Danes in Berlin are at the centre - seen through their own eyes as the city collapses, refugee streams grow, bombardments are constant, and the Red Army advances closer.

The lecture is based on eyewitness accounts, many written down in the midst of the chaos of events, and depicts both military collapse and human tragedy in Berlin's streets - including the choices people make when history strikes with full force.
